OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's basketball fell at home Thursday evening to the Mount Saint Mary College Knights (11-4, 8-0 Skyline) by a final count of 69-61 in Skyline Conference action inside Clark Athletic Center.  The Panthers (11-3, 5-3 Skyline) have now been swept two years in a row during the regular season by Mount Saint Mary.

Trailing by a game-high 10 points (18-8) after the first quarter, Old Westbury turned up the intensity to start the second stanza by using an 11-2 run from 9:23 to 4:54 to pull within one point (20-19).  Mount Saint Mary pushed its lead back to four (27-23) off Toriana Tabasco's layup before Tori Bellings drained one from deep at 2:30 to contribute to Old Westbury scoring eight of the game's next 13 points to tie the game at 31 with 20 seconds remaining.  Charlotte Renker would convert a three-point play with 12 seconds left to give the Panthers their first lead of the game prior to heading into intermission ahead, 34-31.

Bellings and Monique Joseph combined for five points to extend Old Westbury's lead to seven (45-38) with 4:14 left in the third stanza.  Morina Bojka sank a pair of free throws as the Knights responded with an 11-4 spurt to send a 49-all game into the final quarter. Both teams battled for the advantage before Alexis Lopez stroked one from deep to give Old Westbury its final lead of the night (54-52) with 7:41 left.  Mount Saint Mary knotted the game at 54 at the 6:02 mark prior to Bojka's layup ignited an 8-1 run to put the Knights up for good (62-55). The Panthers got as close as three (64-61) with 48 seconds showing on the fourth-quarter clock off Bellings' back-to-back triples. Old Westbury misfired on all-four attempts from the field in the final 25 seconds as Mount Saint Mary poured in 5-of-6 from the free-throw line down the stretch to settle the 69-61 final.

Bellings dished out seven assists and scored 12 of her season-best 15 points in the second half to finish with a career-high 5-of-11 shooting from three-point range.  Lopez followed with 12 points and five assists while Joseph chipped in 10 points (5-of-9 FG), nine rebounds and three steals.
