OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com)SUNY Old Westbury women's soccer suffered a 4-0 home setback to the Manhattanville College Valiants (8-6-0, 6-0-0 Skyline) Wednesday afternoon in Skyline Conference action from Panther Park. The loss moves Old Westbury to a 8-7-0 overall mark and 2-4-0 in league play.

Manhattanville broke the scoring in the 13th minute as Dani Fanning placed a well-timed high-arcing shot past Panther goalie Yakeline Umanzor (7-4-0) for the game-winning goal. Amaya Gonzalez doubled the Vailants advantage in the 31st minute after receiving a throughball from Ashley Pacheco at the top of the box to make it a 2-0 game. In the final three seconds of the half, Manhattanville scored an own goal as Victoria Voboril attempted to deflect the ball out of play that built the three-goal cushion. Old Westbury's lone shot of the half came off the boot of Jessica Pedroza with an on-target attempt at the 20:31 mark.

Manhattanville settled the 4-0 final courtesy of Samira Davis putting the finishing touches on Natalie Pelaez's feed. Cara Normile (49:29) and Bernadelle Dorvil (84:52) tested Valiant goalie Stephanie Shalhoub with on goal shots in efforts of putting Old Westbury on the board.

Umanzor made five saves in 53:19 minutes in the net before Mallory Moretti sent away a career-best seven shots in defeat for the Panthers. Alexa Pyatsky (3-4-0) made one stop in 45 minutes of action before Shalhoub swatted away two second-half shots to preserve the combined shutout victory.
At the end of 90 minutes, Manhattanville finished with the advantage in shots (21-5), shots on goal (16-3) and corner kicks (3-2).
