Women’s Volleyball competes against Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham

Old Westbury continues road trip Saturday (Oct. 19) with a non-conference showdown against Medgar Evers and King’s (Pa.)

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's volleyball fell in three sets (17-25, 15-25, 10-25) to the Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Devils (7-11) in non-conference neutral site action Thursday evening inside Walter A. Lynch Sports Center in Farmingdale, New York.  With the loss, Old Westbury move to six wins and eight losses on the season.
 
Fairleigh Dickinson hit .250 on 37 kills on 104 attempts compared to Old Westbury's .043 attacking percentage with 21 kills on 92 attempts.  The Devils finished with the advantage in points (46-25), kills (37-21), aces (7-2), assists (34-15) and digs (53-46) while both teams were held even with two blocks apiece.
 
Ally Parker finished with 15 assists and 10 digs to post her third-career double-double to lead Old Westbury.  Joelle Desrosiers followed with eight kills while Hillary Bennett scooped up a team-leading 12 digs.
 
Nathalia Padron led the way with a match-high 16 kills and three aces to go along with 10 digs to pace Fairleigh Dickinson.  Kacie Ros chipped in with a match-best 28 assists and 13 digs to help secure the victory.
 
UP NEXT:
Old Westbury travels to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania for Saturday (Oct. 19) non-conference tri-match at King's College (Pa.).  The Panthers will open with the Medgar Evers College Cougars at 1 p.m. followed up a 3 p.m. showdown against the host Monarchs inside McGrane Gymnasium.
