WILKES-BARRE, Pa. --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's volleyball traveled Saturday afternoon to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania for a non-conference tri-match hosted by the King's College (Pa.) Monarchs inside McGrane Gymnasium. Old Westbury (7-9) claimed the opener in straight sets (25-12, 25-9, 25-7) over Medgar Evers College Cougars (0-18) before falling in three sets (25-7, 25-18, 25-17) to the host Monarchs (19-4).

Old Westbury dominated play against Medgar Evers by hitting a season high .437 compared to Medgar Evers' -.116. The Panthers also held the edge in points (58-7), kills (38-4), aces (19-1), assists (34-4) and digs (28-23) while the Cougars won the battle in blocks (2-1).

Ally Parker tallied a career-best 29 assists to go along with five digs, four aces and three kills in leading Old Westbury. Joelle Desrosiers followed with a match-high 14 kills to go along with seven digs and four aces. Daesha Garrison nailed down 10 kills to hit a match-best .571 to go with six digs and one block while Kristin Grieshaber served a match-high eight aces.

Sashamoni Burnett compiled 10 digs and three kills to pace Medgar Evers.

Against King's, Old Westbury put together its finest set in the second set by hitting .175 before finishing the match swinging at .031. The Monarchs hit .315 while holding the advantage in points (54-26), kills (43-20), aces (8-4), blocks (3-2), assists (38-17) and digs (55-30).

Parker controlled Old Westbury's offense with 15 assists to go with six digs and four kills. Garrison produced six kills and six digs while Hillary Bennett scooped up seven digs.

Marta Pawka finished with 14 kills to lead King's. Caitlyn Pepper contributed 23 assists while Taylor Mueller anchored the Monarch defense with 12 digs.
