THROGGS NECK, N.Y. --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's soccer captured a 3-2 Skyline Conference road victory over the Maritime College Privateers (4-10-0, 0-7-0 Skyline) Tuesday evening from Reinhart Field in Throggs Neck, New York.  With the win and two games remaining in the regular season, Old Westbury (9-8-0, 3-5-0 Skyline) continues to make its playoff push as the team sits in seventh place in league standings.

Old Westbury proved to be the aggressor in the game's opening 43:29 holding a 19-4 shot advantage.  With 44:30 showing in the first half, Jessica Pedroza slipped her fifth goal of the season past Privateer goalie Lizzie Pomaro (4-7-0) after receiving a feed from Bernadelle Dorvil to send a 1-0 game into intermission.

In the second stanza, Maritime found the back of the net first as Ojaira Suero dished a pass to Brianne Etienne for the equalizer in the 77th minute.  Old Westbury quickly showed their resiliency in the 82nd minute when Mallory Moretti put the finishing touches on Cara Normile's team-leading fourth assist for her first-career goal.  Normile then put away her fourth-career game-winning goal at the 88:02 mark before Caitlin Etienne capped the scoring 39 second later to settle the 3-2 final.

Panther netminder Yakeline Umanzor (8-5-0) turned away three shots while Pomaro made 13 saves in defeat for Maritime.

At the end of 90 minutes, Old Westbury finished with the advantage in shots (34-8), shots on goal (18-5) and corner kicks (7-3).
