Women’s Volleyball close non-conference slate at CCNY

Old Westbury returns to action Tuesday (Oct. 29) for a Skyline Conference Dig Pink Senior Day battle against Farmingdale State College

NEW YORK --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's volleyball closed out their non-conference slate Friday evening by dropping a three-set decision (25-12, 25-9, 25-14) to the City College of New York Beavers (9-7) inside Nat Holman Gymnasium in Manhattan.
 
Old Westbury (8-11) produced seven kills during its third set to finish the match firing away at a -.107 clip.  CCNY hit .174 and outplayed the Panthers in points (48-20), kills (40-13), aces (6-2), assists (38-13) and digs (62-54) while Old Westbury won the battle of blocks, 5-2.
 
Leading the way for Old Westbury was Joelle Desrosiers, who totaled 8.5 points on seven kills, three blocks and 13 digs.  Ally Parker follwed with two aces and handed out 13 assists to direct the Panthers offensive attack while Hillary Bennett finished with a team-best 18 digs.  Daesha Garrison chipped in four kills and three blocks.  
 
Kayla Oge nailed down a match-leading 13 kills as Dzeneta Harambasic distributed 36 assists, scooped 14 digs and served two aces to pace the Beavers to victory.  Nicole Polanco contributed 10 kills while Oanh Han and Rachel Ramirez anchored CCNY's defense with 14 and 12 digs, respectively.

Old Westbury returns to action Tuesday (Oct. 29) for a Skyline Conference Dig Pink Senior Day battle against the Farmingdale State College Rams at 6 p.m. inside Walter A. Lynch Sports Center in Farmingdale, New York.
 
Prior to first serve, seniors Desrosiers (2018-19) and Kyraleigh Zinnel (2017-19) will be honored with the annual Senior Day ceremony for their dedication to Old Westbury athletics.
