SAAC’s annual Turkey Trot benefits Panther Pantry

Student-Athlete Advisory Committee collected non-perishable food items during the annual Turkey Trot run/walk to feed the campus community at risk of hunger

Old Westbury collected 125 pounds of non-perishable food items for Panther Pantry

OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), in association with Student Government Association (SGA) and the Center for Student Leadership and Involvement (CSLI), combined effort to host the annual Turkey Trot and Canned Food Drive on campus November 21.

All participant donated non-perishable food items as their required entry fee and were rewarded with a great feeling for helping feed the campus community at risk of hunger during the holiday season. Later in the afternoon, Old Westbury collected the 125 pounds of non-perishable food items and delivered it to the Panther Pantry.

The top three finishers, Nic Labiento, Quinten Bullens, who donated his second-place finish to fourth-place finisher Denae Wheeler, and Emma Warner from the race received freshly baked pies!
