NEW YORK --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury baseball first baseman John Condon earned a spot on the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll for games played April 15-21, announced Monday by league officials. This weekly honor roll selection is Condon's third on the season.

Condon batted .500 (4-for-8) to hit safely in two games with one multi-hit performance, two extra-base hits, five RBI, one run scored and one walk in Old Westbury's 1-1 week. He opened the week with a 3-for-4 (R, 4 RBI, BB, 2-2B) game, highlighted by a two RBI single in the sixth inning for Old Westbury to pull within one (7-6) in the 12-9 setback at Baruch College (Apr. 16). The Oceanside, New York native went 1-for-4 at the plate with a run-scoring single in the fifth inning to extend his hitting streak to 11 games in the Panthers 4-1 road triumph against College of New Rochelle (Apr. 19).

On the season, Condon is batting a team leading .366 (41-for-112) to go with 18 runs scored, nine doubles, one home run, 29 RBI and 11 walks in 31 games played. He ranks among the league leaders in batting average (9th), slugging percentage (16th, .473), hits (T-5th), runs batted in (T-4th), doubles (T-4th), home runs (T-5th) and at bats (6th).

SENIOR DAY/SPECIAL OLYMPICS DAY VERSUS MONTCLAIR STATE UNIVERSITY RED HAWKS UP NEXT FOR CONDON AND THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury (16-14-1) returns to campus Tuesday (Apr. 23) for a non-conference Senior Day/Special Olympics Day matchup against the Montclair State University Red Haws (10-21) at 3:30 p.m. from Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex. The Panthers enter Tuesday's matchup 1-0 against the Red Hawks. Prior to first pitch, seniors John Condon (2018-19), Adam Heidenfelder (2017-19), Vinny Negri(2017-19), Christian Tessitore (2017-19) and Alipio Tiburcio (2018-19) will be honored for their dedication to Old Westbury Athletics.
