Old Westbury advances to Skyline Conference Championship play for the 12th-straight season

NEW YORK --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury baseball will look to make a run at a league title as a third seed in this week's 2019 Skyline Conference Championship (May 1, 3-5). The Panthers (20-14-1), who make their 12th-straight postseason appearance, will take on the sixth-seeded College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins (17-20) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in first-round action from Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex in Old Westbury, New York.

Since 2011, Old Westbury entered winners of 15-straight games versus Mount Saint Vincent before the Dolphins swept the 2019 regular-season series from the Panthers with 6-5 (Box Score) and 2-1 (Box Score) finals on Mar. 24 in Chester, New York. The two teams will meet in the postseason for the first time since the 2011 Skyline Conference Championship double-elimination game, when the Panthers prevailed with a 8-3 win in Farmingdale, New York.

The Panthers are on a mission to capture their second Skyline Championship in five seasons.
