Men’s Soccer set to return home Friday for Go4theGoal Skyline opener

Old Westbury returns to campus Friday (Sept. 20) for its Go4theGoal Skyline Conference opener against Yeshiva University

MAHWAH, N.J. --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's soccer dropped a 3-0 non-conference road decision to the Ramapo College Roadrunners (3-0-3) Wednesday afternoon from Athletic Center Turf Field in Mahwah, New Jersey.

In the opening stanza, Ramapo found the back of the net on a pair of goals by Joseph Fala (25:37) and Justin Charkowski (26:47) in a span of 1:10 to give the Roadrunners a two-goal lead heading into intermission.

Ramapo stretched their lead to three in the 77th minute as Fala buried Diego Gali's feed to put the finishing touches on a 3-0 victory.

Grixon Moreira and Rudy Salmeron tested Roadrunner goalie Noah Beverin (2-0-2) with on target shots in the 16th and 50th minute in attempts to put Old Westbury (2-3-1) on the board.

James Perciballi (2-3-1) made five saves while Beverin stopped two shots to preserve the cleansheet for Ramapo.

At the end of 90 minutes, Ramapo held the advantage in shots (19-9) and shots on goal (8-2). Both teams drew even with five corner kicks apiece.
