DIX HILLS, N.Y. --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's volleyball traveled Sunday afternoon to Dix Hills, New York for a non-conference tri-match against the New Hampshire Technical Institute Lynx (7-6) and the Five Towns College Sound (2-6) from Five Towns College Gymnasium.  The Panthers (6-3) opened with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-16) win over the Lynx before posting a three-set sweep (25-10, 25-22, 25-12) of the host Sound.

Old Westbury came out swinging in the first set, landing 13 kills on 33 attempts to hit a match-best .273.  The Panthers finished the match hitting .198 compared to New Hampshire's -.019 output.  Old Westbury dominated in kills (35-13), aces (14-5), assists (31-11) while New Hampshire held the edge in blocks (1-0) and digs (30-25).

Kyraleigh Zinnel led the way with 14 assists, six aces, four kills and three digs.  Ally Parker followed with 12 assists, six kills.  Kristin Grieshaber nailed down a match-high eight kills on 14 swings to hit .429 while Daesha Garrison chipped in with five kills and five aces.  Hillary Bennett scooped up a game-high nine digs.

Shannon Armstrong finished with five assists, three kills and two aces while Addie Lacey contributed with seven digs and four kills to pace New Hampshire.

Old Westbury posted a match-high .310 hitting percentage in the opening set to attack at .138 for the Five Towns match.  The Panthers limited Five Towns' hitting to .069 while holding the advantage in kills (29-16), aces (20-3) and assists (25-15).  Five Towns finished with a 46-44 dig edge while both teams drew even with two blocks apiece.

Zinnel controlled Old Westbury's offense with 12 assists and 12 aces to post her second double-double of the season (18th career) in leading Old Westbury.  Parker followed with 11 assists, six kills and four aces while Joelle Desrosiers finished with 10.0 points to hit .429 with 10 kills and seven digs.  Bennett paced Old Westbury's defense by tying her career-best 18 digs.

Lanasia Drain led the Sound with seven kills while Emily Angelastro and Anna Matytsina scooped up 21 and 15 digs, respectively.
