OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The SUNY Old Westbury Department of Athletics and Recreation in collaboration with the Old Westbury College Foundation, Inc., is pleased to announce the launch of a new fundraising campaign, "55 Day Challenge", aimed to bring support to the College's 13 varsity programs and the school's 300 student-athletes as every institution across the NCAA continues to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign kicked off on Friday, November 13, and will last over the next 55 days through, Thursday, January 7, 2021.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant economic and budgetary challenges across all levels within collegiate athletics. This campaign was founded to help navigate the financial impact of the pandemic on SUNY Old Westbury student-athletes, coaches, and administrators.
Any fans, donors, alumni, or supporters looking to make a donation can visit "
55 Day Challenge" for further information. Payments can be set up in annual, quarterly, monthly or one-time installments.
"Although we have taken measures to remain fiscally responsible during this time, we still need your support for our 300 student-athletes who call SUNY Old Westbury home," said Director of Athletics
Lenore J. Walsh. "We remain committed to our student-athletes in providing them with the resources they need for success while continuing their education at the College. We believe that every dollar raised will make a real difference and anyone can give to the campaign!"
