NEW YORK --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury baseball junior center fielder John Dell'Olio was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week for games played March 9-15, announced Monday by league officials. The weekly laurel is the first of Dell'Olio's career.

Dell'Olio, a product of Old Westbury, New York, compiled season bests of three hits (3-for-5) and drove in a trio of runs en route to a 6-5 non-conference road victory over Stevens Institute of Technology (Mar. 11). Dell'Olio's three-hit performance was highlighted by a two-RBI single through the right side to give the Panthers a 3-0 edge in the top of the fifth inning. In the top of the seventh frame, Dell'Olio stole second base to post his team-leading fourth stolen base of the season.

On the season, Dell'Olio is sporting a .316 on base percentage in 16 at bats to go with three RBI, two runs scored, and three hits on the season. He ranks among the conference leaders in stolen bases (2nd, 5) and hit by pitch (T-4th, 2).
