FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – SUNY Old Westbury softball (0-2, 0-2 Skyline) clashed with the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) Bears (4-2, 3-2 Skyline) and dropped a pair of Skyline Conference decisions at home on Saturday by scores of 10-2 and 15-7, respectively.

Game 1 (6 Inn.): St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) 10, Old Westbury 2

In the fourth inning, St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) compiled another three runs including a two RBI triple by Nicole Trani (1-for-2, 2 RBI, 2 R, BB) to extend their lead.

After three more runs scored in the top of the sixth inning, the Panthers responded in the home half and scored their first run of the game off of Bear starter Jessica Mecham (W, 2-1: 6 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, BB, 4 K) when Amanda Neenan reached on an error by Trani that scored Johanna Metz (1-for-2, R, BB). Kristen Ulmer then smacked a sacrifice fly out to right field that brought home Metz which would ultimately settle the 10-2 final.
