OW Women's Basketball gets soared by the St. Joseph's LI Eagles

The Old Westbury Women's basketball team hosted St. Joseph's of Long Island, Thursday night, January 13, 2022.

Old Westbury Women's Basketball team never gave up the effort in their skyline conference match up against St. Joseph's Long Island.
St. Joseph's Long Island Eagles created the lead from the very start of the game that the OW Lady Panthers were not able to stop.

Cherish Francis had her best margins in the 4th quarter - scoring 16 points.  Her hot shooting hand went 5-6 FG, 3-4 3-pt, 3-4 FT.  This effort from Cherish and her teammates outscored St. Joseph's Long Island in the quarter.  Old Westbury 27 points and St. Joseph's Long Island 21 points.

Cherish Francis completed the night with 24 points, 8-20 FG, 5-10 3-pt,3-4 FT, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals.
Ashley Cattle and Melinda Harris both contributed 14 points each followed by Ja'nya Flash 13 points and Kasiobi Okenwa 6 points

Reminder - Announcement pertaining to SUNY Old Westbury Men's and Women's Basketball held at Nold Hall, held on SUNY Farmingdale's Campus.

Farmingdale, N.Y. - As of Monday, December 20th, there will be no fan permitted at any Farmingdale State College home athletic contests until further notice. 

The following guidelines for visiting teams remain in place.

Statement Regarding Visiting Teams - Winter 2021-22

1. All tier 1 personnel teams must be vaccinated or following Skyline testing protocols.

2. All tier 1 personnel must wear masks indoors at all times regardless of your vaccination status, other than when practicing or competing. This includes on the bench during games.

3. Visiting teams will be provided a locker room; however, use of the showers before/after games is not permitted.

4. Visiting teams are not permitted to eat in Nold Hall.
