Old Westbury, NY

The Old Westbury Men's Basketball team hosted St. Joseph's Brooklyn in a Skyline Conference match-up, January 24, 2022 at the Nold Athletics Complex on Farmingdale State Campus.

The game started out as a 3 point shooting showdown.  St. Joseph's Brooklyn's Joseph Ghotra started the 3 point game and Old Westbury's Jonathan Jamieson responded.  Old Westbury went on a 19-8 run in the first 6:40 minutes of the game.  The additional 3 point dominance came from Charles Wingate, Carl Damour and Nigel Carter as they increased the lead to 30 points in the first half.  
First half scoring leader Nigel Carter made his impact shooting 6-8 FG and 5-7 3pt for his 17 point contribution. Carl Damour was 4-6 FG, 3-5 3pt, 2-4 FT for his first half 13 points and Charles Wingate 4-6 FT, 2-3 3pt. for his 10 point first half action.  Old Westbury shot 21-32 FG for a 65.6% FG and shot 12-21 from 3 pt. for 57.1%.

Old Westbury continued to dominate the rest of the game despite the fact that St. Joseph's out scored Old Westbury in the second half 45-40.  The damage was done in the first half as Old Westbury outscored them by 29 points.  St. Joseph's Brooklyn came as close as 19 points in the second half with 7:41 remaining.

Carl Damour - 19 points - 6-12 FG, 4-8 3pt., 3-6 FT, 1 rebound, 4 assists, 1 steal.
Charles Wingate - 18 points - 7-11 FG, 4-6 3 pt., 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals.

Farmingdale, N.Y. - As of Monday, December 20th, there will be no fan permitted at any Farmingdale State College home athletic contests until further notice. 

The following guidelines for visiting teams remain in place.

Statement Regarding Visiting Teams - Winter 2021-22

1. All tier 1 personnel teams must be vaccinated or following Skyline testing protocols.

2. All tier 1 personnel must wear masks indoors at all times regardless of your vaccination status, other than when practicing or competing. This includes on the bench during games.

3. Visiting teams will be provided a locker room; however, use of the showers before/after games is not permitted.

4. Visiting teams are not permitted to eat in Nold Hall.
