SUNY Old Westbury (5-5, 1-2 Skyline) men's basketball team host St. Joseph's College Long Island (5-6, 1-3 Skyline) at Nold Hall Athletics Complex at Farmingdale State College on January 8, 2022.

The OW Men's Basketball Team and St. Joseph's College Long Island were both determined to outplay each other on the offensive and defensive end of the floor.  Zachary Cummings, Charles Wingate and Carl Damour's intensity pushing the offense set the pace of the game.  This created the opportunities for the Panthers scoring from Max Weinberg, Jonathan Jamieson, Michael Green and Kevin Levine.  Both Zachary Cummings and Carl Damour found the net with successful attempts on the drive and from the swing of the ball.  St. Joseph's lead the first half up by 3 points with the score 45-42.  During the second half Old Westbury tallied 46 points to 34 points from St. Joseph's Long Island.  Playing big in the paint was Max Weinberg for his 35 minutes in the game shooting 60% with 10 rebounds.  The resilient play from the Panthers withstood the pressure from St. Joseph's College Long Island as they tried to foul the last minute of play to gain possession after the foul shots from the Panthers.  The Panthers went 16-21 from the foul line not allowing St. Joseph's College Long Island to decrease the deficit.

Farmingdale, N.Y. - As of Monday, December 20th, there will be no fan permitted at any Farmingdale State College home athletic contests until further notice. 

The following guidelines for visiting teams remain in place.

Statement Regarding Visiting Teams - Winter 2021-22

1. All tier 1 personnel teams must be vaccinated or following Skyline testing protocols.

2. All tier 1 personnel must wear masks indoors at all times regardless of your vaccination status, other than when practicing or competing. This includes on the bench during games.

3. Visiting teams will be provided a locker room; however, use of the showers before/after games is not permitted.

4. Visiting teams are not permitted to eat in Nold Hall.
