The Old Westbury softball team earned two Skyline Conference wins against Yeshiva on Sunday afternoon.
Game One: Old Westbury 28, Yeshiva 2
How it Happened
After Julia Pastrana struck out the first three batters to start the game, Old Westbury scored eight runs in the bottom of the first inning by way of five hits and five walks. Shannon Myles and Gianna Ventiere both doubled in the inning.
In the second inning, the Panthers scored seven more runs. Alaina Reilly hit a two RBI double, and Rosanna Cuttone hit two doubles in the inning. Old Westbury put up another eight spot in the bottom of the third. Natalie Intrieri hit a two RBI triple down the left field line, and Rosanna Cuttone hit her third double of the game for two more RBI.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Panthers scored four runs on four hits and four walks to close out the game 28-2.

How it Happened
Old Westbury opened the game with 12 runs in the bottom of the first inning. After Natalie Intrieri walked to lead off the inning, Shannon Myles, Morgan Albright, and Alaina Reilly hit back-to-back-to-back doubles. Gianna Ventiere and Hillary Bennett also later doubled in the inning. The Panthers scored four more in the bottom of the second off of a two RBI single by Jenna Gaspa and another by Alaina Reilly.
The home team tacked on 13 more runs in the bottom of the third inning. The inning included 10 singles, two doubles, and three batters hit by a pitch.

- Alaina Reilly led the team with five hits including three doubles, six RBI, and three runs scored.
- Shannon Myles went 2-for-2 with two doubles, four RBI, and three runs scored.
- Morgan Albright, Madison Danin, Gianna Ventiere, and Jenna Gaspa each contributed three RBI.
- Gianna DiLillo earned the win with five innings pitched, allowing one earned run on three hits, two walks, and five strikeouts.
