Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Defensive Effort Shines in Loss to Conference Foe

Yonkers, New York | September 26, 2023 | A continuous attack by the Sarah Lawrence Gryphons proved to be a constant battle for Old Westbury, but cohesive play by the Panther Women's Soccer team's back line stopped many attempts by earning a multitude of offside calls and the team's goalkeeping stood strong against the opposition.
Jasmine Roldan and Victoria Voboril teamed together centrally leading the back line and retrieving and diverting on the explosive runs by the Sarah Lawrence's forwards in what became a 5-0 loss to the Skyline Conference opponent. Along side Roldan and Voboril were Diana Garcia, Jennifer Pasquariello and Mia Almonte.
Goalkeeper Natalie Intrieri held the Gryphons to three goals at half time with 10 saves in the first half alone. She totaled 15 saves against shots on goal throughout the entire game.
While the Panthers could not strike the net, Jessica Pedroza, Almonte, Mikayla Crosier and Alyse Then created offensive threats throughout the evening.
