Cross Country Competes at the St. Joseph's-Long Island Invitational on Saturday

SUNKEN MEADOW, N.Y. -  The SUNY Old Westbury men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Golden Eagle Invitational on Saturday.

The meet took place at Sunken Meadown Park. The meet was a 5K for the women's team and 8K for the men's team. 

For the Panthers, the women's team finished 12th overall ahead of Queensborough Community College. The women's team has a total time of 2:25:23 and an average finish time of 29:04. 

For the men, the team finished 12th overall ahead of both Hostos Communuty College and fellow Skyline Conference rival, St. Joseph's-Brooklyn. The Panthers finished with a total time of 3:23:48 and an average time of 40:45. 

Next up, the Panthers will compete in the annual SUNY Old Westbury Halloween Meet at home on Friday, November 1. The meet will take place on SUNY Old Westbury's campus at 11 AM.
