Cross Country Hosts Annual Halloween Meet on Friday Afternoon

 OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The SUNY Old Westbury men's and women's cross-country programs host their annual Halloween meet on Friday afternoon. The men's team finished second overall while the women placed third overall. 
 
The meet welcomed Yeshiva and St. Joseph's Brooklyn to SUNY Old Westbury' s campus. 
 
For the women's team, the Panthers' top finisher was Evelyn Avila who ran the course in
19:59. As a team, the Panthers recorded 46 points from their top 5 finishers. 
 
For the Panthers' men's team, Andy Lema was the leading performer and ran the course in 16:21. Amadi Lee-Kane finished right behind Lema and ran it in 16:26. The men's team recorded 41 points based on their top five finishers. 
 
Next up, the Panthers will close out the season at the Skyline Conference Championship on Sunday, November 3 at Bethpage State Park.
