OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The SUNY Old Westbury men's basketball program finished the season on Saturday with a loss to the Rams of Farmingdale State College. The final score was 80-60.

The Panthers struggled throughout the game to connect on shots and find open shooters. The Rams controlled the pace of the game for nearly the entire matchup.

Farmingdale found themselves with a double-digit lead just six minutes into the game as they led by 10 points after connecting on a three-pointer from the corner. As the two sides traded baskets for several possessions, the Rams still led by double digits midway through the half.

With under 10 minutes to play in the first half, the Rams grew their lead even further, going up by 20 points with five minutes remaining in the first half of play. After trading baskets for a couple more minutes, the Rams went into halftime in control of this one with score of 46-23.

Coming out of the break, the Panthers scored first, and Amadi Lee-Kane scored two baskets on back-to-back possessions. Despite the Panthers finding some groove on the offensive side of the ball, their defense could not stop Farmingdale.

With 10 minutes remaining in the game, the Panthers brought the Rams' lead to under 20 points thanks to a steal from Timothy Park who then assisted Amadi Lee-Kane on a jumper in the paint.

In the final 10 minutes of the game, with several reserves in for both teams, the Rams closed out the game and defeated the Panthers by a comfortable margin of 20 points and a final score of 80-60.
