The first game of the day featured much excitement for the green and white. The game got going with the Panthers securing their first hit in the top of the first as Alaina Reilly got on base with a single.

The Panthers picked up two more hits when Hillary Bennett and Gianna DiLillo connected putting runners on the bases.

Old Westbury scored their first run in the top of the third inning after Ashley Pierce reached first on an error and advanced to second. Washington and Jefferson answered in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Presidents scoredtwo runs and took the lead, 2-1 heading into the fifth inning.

The scoring column remained the same until the Panthers put together one last rally in the top of the seventh inning. The game tying run got on when Morgan Albright was hit by a pitch. Phylicia Cangemi pinch ran and stole second base.

Cangemi was later able to move to third on a wild pitch. With a runner on third and two outs, Pierce came to the plate for the Panthers. With just one strike remaining, Pierce  sent the ball out of the park, recording her first homerun of the season and giving the Panthers the lead.
