Men's Volleyball Unsuccessful Against Ramapo on Friday Night

MAHWAH, N.J. – The SUNY Old Westbury men's volleyball team was defeated in three sets by Ramapo College on Friday night. 
 
As a whole, the Panthers struggled in this one. The team failed in the first set when it came to matching the intensity of Ramapo. The Panthers finished with only one kill. The team was taken down in the first set, 25-5. 
 
In both the second, and third set, the Panthers found a little bit of their grove, but still fell short. In the second set the Panthers compiled three kills and in the third set, the team finished with eight. In both the second and third sets, the Panthers were defeated 25-19. Ramapo walked away with the three-set victory over Old Westbury. 
 
For the Panthers, Anthony Moyett led the team in kills with seven. Moyett also had two aces, one block and 10 digs. James Seraphin recorded three kills. Kosta Anagnostou led the team in assists with seven, while also finishing with a block. 
 
Next up, the Panthers will play their final home game of the 2024 season. The Panthers will play host to the Dolphins of the University of Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday, April 2 at 6 PM. The match will take place in the Clark Center Gymnasium. In addition to the match, the Panthers will be honoring their three seniors prior to the opening set.
