Softball Prepares for the Skyline Conference Double Elimination Tournament; Panthers to Open Against Farmingdale On Thursday

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The stage is set for the Skyline Conference Double Elimination Softball Tournament. The SUNY Old Westbury softball team will kick things off with a game against the Rams of Farmingdale State College on Thursday, May 9 at 4 PM.

The Panthers moved on to the championship tournament after taking down the Knights of Mount Saint Mary on Tuesday night, 12-2.

The remaining schools in the tournament include No. 1 Farmingdale, No. 2 Manhattanville, No. 3 St. Joseph's-Brooklyn and No. 5 SUNY Old Westbury.

Double-Elimination Tournament Schedule:

Thursday, May 9

Game 3: No. 5 Old Westbury vs. No. 1 Farmingdale State - 4 PM
Game 4: No. 3 St. Joseph's-Brooklyn vs. No. 2 Manhattanville - 6:30 PM

Friday, May 10

Game 5: Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4 - 1 PM
Game 6: Loser Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4 - 3:30 PM
Game 7: Winner Game 6 vs. Loser Game 5 - 6 PM

Saturday, May 11

Game 8: Winner Game 5 vs. Winner Game 7 - Noon
Game 9: If necessary- TBD

Tickets and Tournament Information:
The entirety of the double elimination tournament will take place on the campus of Farmingdale State College.

Tickets are required for all attendees. College Students are FREE with a valid school ID shown at the gates. Tickets can be purchased here for either the full weekend or single day.
