Women's Basketball Falls at Purchase

Purchase, N.Y. - The SUNY Old Westbury Panthers women's basketball team fell to the Panthers of Purchase College, 63-39 from the SUNY Gymnasium. 

Kasey Coppola led with both 14 points and 16 rebounds, adding two assists and two steals. Moneasia McCloud added 10 points while Sakhmet Lewis pulled down 10 rebounds. 

Old Westbury opened the contest on a 6-0 run from field goals from McLoud, Coppola, and foul shots from Lewis. Purchase responded with a 7-2 run of its own before two foul shots from McCloud tied the contest after 10 minutes of play. Seven-straight points put Purchase in front, 17-10, and never looked back. 

Old Westbury returns to the Clark Center on Tuesday, November 25 at 7:00 p.m. against Mount Saint Mary.
