The SUNY Old Westbury women's basketball team took on the Knights of Mount Saint Mary's College this evening from the Clark Athletic Center, falling 72-26. The Panthers sit at 1-3 (0-3 Skyline) on the season with the loss while MSM improved to 3-2 (3-0 Skyline) with the win.
The Panthers struggled to score all evening, shooting just 18 percent from the field on the contest. A 26-2 deficit after the first quarter was too much for Old Westbury to recover from.
Moneasia McCloud led with six points while
Kasey Coppola followed with five.
Brianne Belizaire had a game-leading 14 rebounds in the effort followed by eight from
Sakhmet Lewis.
The Panthers will be back in action on December 3 as they host the Bears of St. Joseph's Brooklyn at 6:00 p.m.
