Women’s Lacrosse Defeated by Farmingdale State College on Friday; Panthers Celebrate Senior Day with Pre-Game Ceremony

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The SUNY Old Westbury women's lacrosse team was defeated by the Rams of Farmingdale State College on Friday. The final score was 19-1 in favor of the Rams.
 
Old Westbury drops to 2-7 overall on the season. The Panthers hold a Skyline Conference record of 1-5.
 
The Rams got going right away with scoring as they scored two goals in the first two minutes of action. The Rams would go on to score a total of nine goals in the opening quarter and held the Panthers to zero.
 
The Rams offense continued to pour it on in the second quarter. Old Westbury would score its lone goal with 13:08 on the clock in the second quarter. Jasmine Roldan made a nice pass to Amanda Chasan who found the back of the net.

At the end of the first half, the Rams led 14-1.
 
In the second half, the Panthers were able to slow the scoring of Farmingdale State as the Rams had just five second half goals.

Old Westbury would fall to Farmingdale State by a final score of 19-1.
 
For the Panthers, Amanda Chasan scored a goal and recorded one ground ball. Jasmine Roldan finished with an assist, and two ground balls. Annabella Runyan caused three turnovers and picked up four ground balls.
 
In net, Jara Gonzalez finished with 10 saves after facing 29 shots on goal.
 
Next up, the Panthers will continue Skyline Conference play. Old Westbury will travel to take on the Valiants of Manhattanville University on Tuesday, April 15. That game is scheduled for 4 PM.
