Men’s Soccer Drops Non-Conference Match Against Lehman

BRONX, N.Y. -  The SUNY Old Westbury men's soccer team was defeated by the Lightning of Lehman College on Wednesday. The final score was 2-0 in favor of Lehman.
 
Old Westbury now drops to 2-2 overall on the season. The Panthers sit at 1-0 in Skyline Conference games.
 
Lehman would find the back of the net fairly quick as they scored their first goal at the 6:53 mark.
 
The Lightning tacked on another goal less than a minute before halftime. They would carry a 2-0 lead into the break.
 
Despite three shots in the second half, the Panthers were unable to respond and find the back of the net.
 
Lehman would hold on and defeat OW by a final score of 2-0.
 
For the Panthers, Christian Pachari and Isaac Cardenas recorded a shot on goal. In net, Martino Gjomemo allowed the two Lehman goals. Gjomemo recorded five saves in net.
 
Next up, the Panthers will return home for another non-conference battle. The Panthers will host Brooklyn College at Panther Park on Saturday, September 13 at 1:30 PM.
