The SUNY Old Westbury women's basketball team was in action this evening from Liebertz Gymnasium against the United States Merchant Marine Academy, falling 95-21. The loss sets the Panthers back to 2-11 on the season and 1-10 in Skyline Conference play. The Mariners improved to 13-4 (10-2 Skyline).
Endya Greene led with 14 points and three steals for Old Westbury.
Korrina Plair pulled down eight rebounds.
Sakhmet Lewis had three assists.
USMMA would lead from open to close, including an 18-2 run in the first quarter to lead, 25-7. The early deficit would be too much for the Panthers to overcome, shooting at  just a 15 percent clip with eight total made field goals.
Old Westbury will be home at the Clark Athletic Center on Saturday, January 24 against Purchase at 12:00 PM.
