The SUNY Old Westbury men's volleyball team opened the home portion of the season with a 3-0 sweep of Medgar Evers. The win sets Old Westbury at 2-1 on the season.
Damian Villamil and
Torrence Fredericks each led with four kills.
Ashel Santos put up 10 services aces to go with five assists.
Luke Vetack added five aces.
Lucas Rogers led with 11 assists.
Kevin Alarcon led with nine digs.
The Panthers dominated the Cougars for the entire match, not allowing a single kill. Old Westbury as a team totaled 26 service aces and 21 kills.
Old Westbury will return to the court on Thursday, February 12 at 7:00 pm against the Pratt Institute from the Clark Athletic Center.
