OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. — The SUNY Old Westbury women's soccer team battled SUNY Delhi to a 1-1 draw Saturday afternoon at Panther Park.
Old Westbury struck first in the 34th minute when Brianna Estrada found the back of the net off an assist from Mikayla D'Ambrosio. The Panthers carried the 1-0 advantage into halftime.
SUNY Delhi responded in the second half, tying the contest in the 70th minute when Kaitlyn Hines scored off a pass from Gabrielle Avallone.
Neither team could find the game-winning goal over the final 20 minutes. Both sides continued to apply pressure, but the defenses remained locked in to preserve the 1-1 draw.
