New York, N.Y.- The SUNY Old Westbury Men's soccer team grabs the Skyline Rookie of the Week and two Honorable Mentions announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Alexander Joergensen grabs his first Rookie of the Week honor. Joergensen had a phenomenal first week tallying three goals and one assist. Scoring his first collegiate goal against Lehman College, and two against Baruch College. In addition to finding the back of the net, they consistently created dangerous scoring opportunities and helped generate offensive chances for their teammates.
Goalkeeper Andy Chacho and Forward Johan Gran grab honorable mentions for the week. Chacho delivered an exceptional performance in goal this week, recording a clean sheet over 80 minutes while making 10 massive saves. His composure, shot-stopping ability, and consistency between the posts played a crucial role in keeping the opposition off the scoreboard.
Gran had an outstanding performance this week, making a significant impact on the offensive end. He recorded two goals and an assist, consistently creating scoring opportunities and helping drive the team's success
