Henry Brunjes, IV, a 2019 graduate of SUNY Old Westbury, has been added as the assistant men's golf coach, announced by director of athletics Lenore J. Walsh.

"It is great to have Henry return to campus and serve as assistant men's golf coach," Walsh said. "The hiring of former student-athletes is a testament to how much they enjoyed their experience and how they want to stay involved in college athletics. With the addition of Henry to the coaching staff, we are excited to see what the future holds for the men's golf program."   

Brunjes, IV stated, "I am excited for the opportunity to assist head coach Donald Massmann grow the Old Westbury men's golf program and enhance the student-athlete experience I was privileged to be part of all while becoming one of the top programs to compete in the Skyline Conference."

Arriving on campus in 2017 from Suffolk County Community College, Brunjes, IV finished with a season-best 84 (+13), twice, and finished tied for third place in a dual victory (333-463) over the University of Valley Forge. He highlighted his senior campaign by compiling a career-low round of 77 (+6) at the New Jersey City Invitational. 

"We are very pleased Henry Brunjes, IV is joining our Old Westbury men's golf coaching staff," said Massmann. "His positive experiences and knowledge of the Skyline Conference will benefit our team and prospects for future seasons."

The Babylon, New York native earned an associate of applied science degree at Suffolk County Community College in 2017 before graduating with a degree in accounting in 2019. He was named to the Athletic Director's Academic Honor Roll once in his four semesters on campus. The 2017 graduate of Babylon High School currently holds the position of store manager at Lacrosse Unlimited in Garden City, New York.
