Kathy Morrell enters her first season as SUNY Old Westbury head softball coach in 2017.
“I would like to thank Lenore J. Walsh for giving me this incredible opportunity to lead the Old Westbury softball program,” said Morrell. “I look forward to guiding this program and developing our student-athletes into champions, scholars and great citizens.”
Morrell is set to make her NCAA coaching debut after serving as an assistant softball coach at Suffolk County Community College – Michael J. Grant Campus (2000-01).
Prior to Suffolk County Community College, Morrell coached softball and soccer at St. Dominic High School (1997-99) in nearby Oyster Bay.
Morrell, a graduate of West Babylon High School, currently resides in Bayport, New York.
