Former Queens College women’s lacrosse player Heather Rosen joined Lauren Schneider and the Old Westbury women’s lacrosse coaching staff for the 2014 season.
Rosen was a part of Queens’ startup women’s lacrosse program in 2009-10 and spent four years with the team, two of which she served as captain. She’s the Knights’ all-time leading scorer with 302 career points. In addition she’s collected a plethora of accolades during her college career including First-Team All American by the Jewish Sports Review, IWLCA All North Division Second-Team All-East Coast Conference First-Team and All- East Coast Conference Second-Team.
The Holbrook, New York native also earned Outstanding Freshman, Most Valuable Player and Most Improved Player department awards from Queens.
Rosen also traveled with American International Sports teams in 2011 and 2013 as a member of a squad that visited Germany, England, Ireland, Scotland and the Czech Republic. She and her teammates faced various international teams and finished in first place in the Prague Cup Tournament in 2011.
Last summer, Rosen served as head coach of a Long Island Yellow Jackets lacrosse team and since 2012 she’s worked as a personal lacrosse trainer for girls of all ages at ABS Lacrosse Training.
In February 2014, Rosen earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education from Queens College.
