Allison Castellano enters her fourth year as assistant athletic trainer at SUNY Old Westbury.
Castellano spent three years (2009-12) as an assistant to the head athletic trainer at Nassau Community College, where she worked with 11 sports ranging from men's and women's basketball, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, baseball, football, softball and wrestling. Since 2008, Castellano has provided medical coverage for the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse.
Castellano received her bachelor's degree from SUNY Cortland in athletic training in 2009. As an athletic training student at SUNY Cortland, she worked with the sports of men's and women's swimming and diving, men's ice hockey, women's lacrosse in addition to men's and women's track and field at Cornell University while also servicing Cortland High School.
Hailing from Merrick, New York, Castellano graduated from Sanford H. Calhoun High School in 2005. Castellano is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Eastern Athletic Trainers Association, District 2, New York State Athletic Trainers Association and Cortland State Athletic Trainers Association.
A 2009 graduate of SUNY Cortland, Castellano achieved her NATA-BOC certification in August 2012.
