Lauren Miles enters her first season as SUNY Old Westbury head cheerleading coach in 2019-20.
Miles arrives at Old Westbury after serving five years as a head varsity cheerleading coach at Herricks High School.
"I am thrilled to announce the addition of Lauren to the Old Westbury coaching staff”, said Walsh. “She brings an array of coaching experience and I am excited for her to bring Old Westbury Cheerleading to a competitive level.”
At Herricks, Miles teaches technique and safety skills along with choreographic competition routines to be performed at basketball and football events.
“I am excited to continue my coaching journey at SUNY Old Westbury”, said Miles. “I look forward to helping build the program and creating the space to promote the best student-athlete experience possible.”

She then earned her bachelor’s degree in professional communications with a concentration in sociology from Farmingdale State College in 2016. Miles is currently working towards her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education (1-6) from Molloy College.
