Lauren Miles joined SUNY Old Westbury as the head cheerleading coach in 2019.
Prior to Old Westbury, Miles served for nine years as the head varsity cheerleading coach at Herricks High School.
At Herricks, Miles taught technique and safety skills along with choreographic competition routines to be performed at basketball and football events.
Miles was a three-year member (2011-14) of the cheerleading team as an undergraduate at Nassau Community College, she earned her associates degree in Liberal Arts. While at Nassau, she was a two-year captain and helped the team place second at Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) College Nationals.
She later went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Professional Communications with a concentration in Sociology from Farmingdale State College in 2016.
Miles earned a duel masters' degree in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) and TESOL K-12 at Molloy.
Miles currently serves as an ENL teacher in Northport, N.Y.
A graduate of Hicksville High School, she currently resides in Westbury, New York.
