WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS 6-0 TO FARMINGDALE STATE

FARMINGDALE, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team fell 6-0 to Skyline Conference foe, Farmingdale State on Wednesday evening in Farmingdale, New York. Old Westbury drops to 3-5 on the season and 3-4 in league play while Farmingdale State improves to 3-8 overall and 2-0 in conference action.
The Rams let loose a barrage of shots that Old Westbury's defense could not hold. Sophomore keeper Deborah Ciccarelli (St. James, N.Y.) had 11 saves, but six shots made it past her for Farmingdale State goals.
It wasn't until the 35:54 mark when the scoring started as Monica Grisales calmly slotted the ball inside the post past a sprawling Ciccarelli off a pass by Morgan Baust for the eventual game winner. In the second half, Farmingdale State piled on five more goals with one from Katrina Cerverizzo at 49:56 on a pass by Morgan Baust. In the 57th minute, Brittany Williams found Rebecca Richman for the third score of the game for the Rams, followed by her second assist of the game with a goal by Jennifer Jung at the 62:30 mark. Anna-Marie Rivera scored the fifth goal for Farmingdale State in the 76th minute while Julianne Cicio rounded out the scoring with a goal at the 84:08 mark.
The Panthers took five shots, and four on goal. Junior Courtney Dixon (Baldwin, N.Y.) led the Panthers with three shots and two on goal. Freshman Cassandra Esposito (Valley Stream, N.Y.) had one shot on goal as did junior Jennifer Campisi (Commack, N.Y.).
The Rams outshot Old Westbury 30-5. Amanda Maass stopped four shots to register the shutout for Farmingdale State. Two yellow cards were distributed with the Panthers collecting one.
