PANTHER SOFTBALL SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER TO OPEN CONFERENCE PLAY

BRONXVILLE, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury softball team split a doubleheader to open up Skyline Conference play at Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday. The Dolphins won game one with a 4-3 final while the Panthers bounced back with an 11-2 run-rule victory in six innings. Old Westbury ran its record to 5-5 overall and 1-1- in the Skyline Conference, while Mount Saint Vincent went to 1-7 and 1-1. 

Old Westbury returns to the field on Sunday afternoon for a Skyline Conference battle with the NYU-Poly Fighting Blue Jays. The Panthers are scheduled to throw the first pitch to the Fighting Blue Jays at 12 p.m. at the Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex.
