OLD WESTBURY, NY (
www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) –The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team scored three second half goals Monday afternoon to earn a Senior Day victory against the visiting John Jay Bloodhounds in non-conference action from Panther Park. Old Westbury evened up at 9-9 on the season while John Jay slipped to 5-13.
After a scoreless first-half that Old Westbury outshot John Jay 28-0,
Stephanie Maybie broke the scoring ice in the 59th minute for her team-leading fourth game-winner of the season.
Morgan Zuhoski earned her six assist on Maybie's 16th goal of the season.
Maybie doubled Old Westbury's advantage in the 66th minute as
JoAnna Kettell registered her team-leading seven assist of the season. Maybie's 17th goal of the season tied
Cassandra Esposito for the single season program scoring record, a mark Esposito set in 2008 and 2010.
Julianne Abel scored her third goal of the season to close out the scoring in the 75th minute on
Kassandra Franco's third assist of the season.
Heather Grosso earned her second shutout of the season and fifth of her career in the win. Andrea Antoini made 24 saves and allowed three goals in 79 minutes of action before Elise Santiago stopped two shots over the final 11 minutes. Old Westbury held the advantage in shots (56-1), shots on goal (29-0) and corner kicks (13-1).

Julianne Abel were honored with the annual “Senior Day Ceremony” for their dedication to Old Westbury Athletics.
NEW PALTZ HAWKS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the pitch for a non-conference showdown on Wednesday afternoon, taking on the New Paltz Hawks in New Paltz, New York. Kick-off is slated for 3:30 p.m. from Alumni Field.
