BROOKLYN, NY 
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) – No. 4 SUNY College at Old Westbury softball team was eliminated from the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament Saturday afternoon in the semifinal round by a 5-4 setback to No. 3 Farmingdale State.  Farmingdale State (24-13) moves on to face No. 2 Sage Gators (23-16) in the Championship on Sunday at 11 a.m. in Brooklyn, New York.  Old Westbury (23-16) will now wait on a possible ECAC Metro Region Championship Tournament bid, which features eight-teams.

Corrine Protasiewicz singled home Alyssa Clancy in the second to give Old Westbury a 1-0 lead.  Farmingdale State tied the game at 1-all in the fifth with Michelle Mongiello's run scoring single.  Old Westbury replied with Clancy's two-run double that scored Nicole Petrucci and Marissa Brightman for a 3-2 Panther advantage.  In the sixth, three hits and four errors allowed Farmingdale State to go ahead 5-3.  Lisa Bonacasa singled home Aubrey Walker followed by Kaitlin Keenan's two-run single, and an error by shortstop Nicole Petrucci allowed Keenan to score.  Samantha Siegler jacked a solo homer with two outs in the seventh to make it a 5-4 game before Taylor Tedeschi got Clancy to groundout to close the book on Old Westbury's comeback. 

Alyssa Clancy fanned 10 Farmingdale State batters and was tagged with the loss due in part to allow five unearned runs on 10 hits.  Taylor Tedeschi picked up the win by striking out two while allowing four runs on six hits and three walks. 

Old Westbury was led offensively by the bat of Alyssa Clancy, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI's and one run scored including a pair of doubles.  Samantha Siegler followed with her fourth home run of the season in her final Skyline Conference game in a 1-for-4 game at the plate.  Kaitlin Keenan paced Farmingdale State with a 2-for-3 game at the plate, including two RBI's and one run scored.  Jennifer Jarczynski (2-4) tallied multiple hits and Aubrey Walker (1-4, R) registered the lone extra base hit for the Rams. 

STEVENS DUCKS UP NEXT FOR PANTHERS: The Panthers return to the field for a non-conference doubleheader on the road against the Stevens Ducks on Wednesday (May 2) in Weehawken, New Yorkat 6 p.m.
