Old Westbury threatened early on with Nicole Petrucci clubbing a double to lead off the first.  Two batters later, Samantha Siegler reached on an error by short stop Courtney Frisina, moving Petrucci over to third.  Both Petrucci and Siegler would remain stranded as Alyssa Clancy and Jennifer Jean both stuck out to end the inning.  Old Westbury was unable to convert on another scoring opportunity in the fourth when Corrine Protasiewicz flied out to strand Alyssa Clancy at third.

After allowing a leadoff single in the first inning to Frisina, Old Westbury starter Alyssa Clancy retired her next 13 before surrendering a single to Nicole Reda in the fifth.

Old Westbury stranded runners on second in both the seventh and eighth frames before St. Joseph's-L.I. scored the games lone run in the ninth.  Gianna Gulli drew a leadoff walk, followed by two straight sacrifice hits that moved her over to third.  Julia De Carmine stroked an infield single that scored Gulli for the game winner.  Old Westbury went down one-two-three in the bottom of the ninth as St. Joseph's-L.I. advanced to the championship round.

Nicole Petrucci's leadoff double was Old Westbury's lone extra base hit, as St. Joseph's-L.I. held a 5-4 advantage in hits.  Nicole Reda (2-3) paced St. Joseph's-L.I. with a multi-hit game.

Alyssa Clancy (18-11) was stuck with the loss for Old Westbury, allowing one run off five hits and one walk as she fanned five Golden Eagles on strikes.  Cassie Martinez (9-8) grabbed the win for St. Joseph's-L.I., scattering four hits while striking out eight.
