www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's soccer team suffered a 7-0 Skyline Conference setback at home against the Sage Gators Saturday afternoon from Panther Park. The loss moves Old Westbury (1-10) to 0-2 in conference play while Sage (9-1 ) improved to 4-0.
The Gators registered 23 shots I the contest, posting 11 on goal. Old Westbury tallied seven shots, as
Steven Burgos (2 SOG) and
Alec Adeclat (1 SOG) combined to register Old Westbury's three shots on goal. Old Westbury keeper
Marcelo Guardado made four saves in 85 minutes of action as Sage's TJ Zehner stopped three shots to record his third shutout of the season.
Scott Jarosz racked up a hat trick, with a trio of second half goals to push his season total up to 14. David Gould broke the scoring ice in the fifth minute. Jose Miranda (63rd minute), Kenny Barnes (77th minute) and William Ayala (82nd minute) all scored in Sage's victory.
FARMINGDALE STATE RAMS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the pitch for a Skyline Conference battle on Tuesday afternoon, taking on the visiting Farmingdale State Rams in Old Westbury, New York. Kick-off is slated for 4 p.m. from Panther Park.
