But the Knights spoiled the party. Despite outshooting Berkeley 20-12 (7-3 on target), Old Westbury couldn't find a way to break-through.
The Knights took the lead in the first half, courtesy of a Haakon Schjelderup header from a Joachim Moe corner in the 36th minute. The goal would prove to be the game-winner and the only tally of the afternoon.
Although the Panthers couldn't find a way to score, the backline, which featured
Austin Gozley,
Kosi Ikwuazom,
Jesse Eyoma and
Cody Greene, did very well to limit the Berkeley scoring opportunites. As a result, goalkeeper
Marcelo Guardado was forced to make just two saves.
