OLD WESTBURY, NY 
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) -The SUNY College at Old Westbury softball team defeated the visiting Farleigh Dickinson University-Florham Devils Wednesday afternoon to earn a non-conference sweep from the Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex.  The Panthers won 3-0 in the opener and completed the sweep with a 5-4 game two victory.  Old Westbury evens up at 12-12 on the season while FDU-Florham dropped to 13-11.

Game One: Old Westbury 3, FDU-Florham 0
Old Westbury posted two runs in the home half of the first and never looked back.  Jacqui Alvarado drove in Nicole Petrucci on a RBI groundout for the games initial run.  Alyssa Clancy then doubled the advantage with a single that scored Corrine Protasiewicz

After three scoreless innings, Old Westbury added their third and final run of the game in the fifth.  Alvarado started things off with a double and two batters later, Jennifer Jean lifted a sacrifice fly out to center that scored Alvarado. 

Clancy (11-12) pitched a brilliant game for Old Westbury, striking out 11 while scattering three hits to pick up her fifth shutout of the season.  Sydney Worek (6-6) took the loss, giving up three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven. 

Petrucci (2-3, R, BB) led the Panthers' offense with her seventh multi-hit game of the season while Alvarado's (1-3, RBI, R) double was the lone extra base hit of the game. 

Game Two: Old Westbury 5, FDU-Florham 4
Old Westbury jumped out to an early 3-0 lead at the end off one.  Back-to-back singles set the table for Protasiewicz, who tripled home Petrucci and Jessica Spero to open the scoring.  Alvarado followed with an RBI single to knock in Protasiewicz.

FDU-Florham answered in the third with two runs on RBI singles by Wynne McCann and Kristie Crilley. 

Jean singled in the fourth to score Clancy to put Old Westbury up 4-2. 

FDU-Florham tacked on two more to knot the game at 4-4 heading into the bottom of the sixth. 

Old Westbury produced back-to-back singles to open the bottom half of the sixth.  Two batters later, Jessica Colucci singled and advanced to second on the throw as Emily McKay was thrown out trying to go home from second.  Samantha Howley then delivered a single that scored Jean for the game-winner. 
Petrucci (2-4, R) and Jean (2-3, R) both produced multi-hit games for Old Westbury while Protasiewicz's triple was the Panthers' lone extra base hit.  Sarah Lima paced FDU-Florham by scoring one in a 2-for-4 game at the plate.

Clancy (12-12) snagged the win with a complete game outing, her 20th of the season, allowing four runs (two earned) on nine hits and two walks.  Jaclyn Herrington (0-1) was saddled with the loss, surrendering five runs (four earned) on 10 hits.   

RUTGERS-NEWARK SCARLET RAIDERS UP NEXT UP FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to action when they host the Rutgers-Newark Scarlet Raiders in a non-conference doubleheader on Thursday (April 11).  First pitch is slated for 3 p.m. in Old Westbury, New York.
