NEW YORK, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team earned a 2-1 Skyline Conference victory against the St. Joseph's (L.I.) Golden Eagles in Monday's regular-season finale from Panther Park.  With the win, Old Westbury (9-7-1) improves to 3-5-0 in conference play while sending St. Joseph's (L.I.) (6-11-2) to 3-5-0.

Old Westbury will now wait for the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament bracket to be released following the conclusion of Monday's Purchase at Mount Saint Mary match (7 p.m. start) in Newburgh, New York.

Both teams played evenly early on, until Mayra Bonilla corralled a rebound outside the box to bang home her fifth goal of the season for an early 1-0 Old Westbury lead at 23:05.  The Panthers would remain in front at the conclusion of the opening 45 minutes despite being outshot, 12-5.

The Panthers scored early in the second half when Jordan Schildt found Stephanie Maybie to double Old Westbury's advantage at 46:18 for a 2-0 lead.  With Maybie's single-season program record and conference leading 26th goal of the season, Schildt set a single-season program record with her 12th assist, passing JoAnna Ketell's mark from the 2013 season.  St. Joseph's (L.I.) sliced the deficit in half at 54:11 with Jennifer Martino's goal off a feed from Jessica Cordano.

Caitlin Thomas (8-7-1) made six saves to earn Old Westbury's win as Hannah Steffens (1-3-0) was dealt the Golden Eagles' loss despite stopping 11 shots.

In the end, Old Westbury outshot St. Joseph's (L.I.) in the second half (14-8) to finish with a 21-20 edge in shots and 13-8 in shots on goal for the game.  Old Westbury also earned an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.
