RONKONKOMA, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - For the fourth consecutive year, the SUNY College at Old Westbury softball team participated in the Zumbathon for American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer on October 18 in Ronkonkoma, New York.

The event was coordinated by zumba instructors from the Roseland School of Dance in Ronkonkoma, New York. Old Westbury softball contributed $500 of the $1,500 raised from the zumbathon for American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

"Seeing my players going out of their way to raise money for a great cause and help raise community awareness for this devastating disease makes myself and the Old Westbury softball coaching staff see that we are doing more than just coaching softball," said Old Westbury head softball coach Mary Jo Fazio.

Fazio along with student-athletes Brittney Chernoff, Nicole DeCola, Amanda Fucci, Katie Rizzo and Gabriella Valdes represented Old Westbury at the event.
