Old Westbury women’s basketball volunteered at the Office of Services for Students with Disabilities’ Wheelchair Basketball game


OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury's Office of Services for Students with Disabilities hosted a Wheelchair Basketball game April 8 and the women's basketball team was quick to volunteer for the event.

The event was held in Clark Athletic Center on the SUNY College at Old Westbury campus.

The women's basketball players played against the male adults with disabilities team.  Once the game finished, the Panthers' student-athletes and coaches assisted with the disassembly of the wheelchairs and loaded them into their modes of transportation.     

"The event was a learning experience and we hope to participate again in the near future, "said head coach Michael Krasnoff.
